Export as Fresh

East Africa's harvest, consolidated for the world.

The division

We close the gap between scattered supply and a shipping schedule.

Turkani Ventures is a consolidator of high quality agricultural products: tea, coffee, fruit, vegetables, cereals, meat, poultry and more. We buy from smallholder and commercial farmers across East Africa and aggregate their output into consignments an importer can actually contract against.

Individually, most growers in the region cannot meet an export order on volume, grade or timing. Together they can. Our job is the work in between: selection, aggregation, grading, documentation and cold chain, so that what arrives is what was ordered.

How we work

From the farm gate to the buyer's door.

Sourcing

Buying directly from smallholder and commercial growers across East Africa, selected on variety, grade and consistency of supply.

Aggregation

Volumes pooled and sorted to a single specification, so a buyer contracts with one counterparty rather than dozens of farms.

Cold chain

Perishables moved through partnered cold chain providers, holding temperature from collection through to loading.

Export

Graded, packed and documented to the destination market's requirements, with origin carried through the chain.

East Africa's landscapes offer the conditions for premium tea, coffee, fruit and cereals: fertile soils, a favourable climate and abundant natural resources across a wide range of altitudes and growing seasons.

Its location and established trade networks make it a practical hub for supplying global markets, which is what turns good growing conditions into reliable delivery.

Common questions

What buyers usually ask before placing a first order.

What agricultural products can I buy from Kenya through Turkani Ventures?
We consolidate and export Hass and Fuerte avocados, mangoes, assorted African vegetables, Kenyan tea, Arabica and Robusta coffee, cereals, pulses including mung beans, lentils and pigeon peas, wheat, beef, lamb, mutton, chevon, chicken and table eggs. We also supply fertilizer and animal feed to growers in our network.
What is the minimum order quantity for an export consignment?
It depends on the commodity and whether you are shipping by sea or air. Because we consolidate from many growers rather than owning a single farm, we can usually build to a full container or pallet configuration. Send us the commodity and the volume you need and we will confirm what is achievable in the current season.
Which ports and airports do you ship from?
Sea freight moves through the Port of Mombasa. Air freight for perishables moves through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. We can quote FOB or CIF to your destination.
How do you handle cold chain and quality for perishable produce?
Perishables move through partnered cold chain providers, holding temperature from collection through to loading. Produce is selected, graded and packed to the destination market's requirements before it is consolidated.
How do I request a quotation?
Use the enquiry form on this page. Tell us the commodity, grade and packing, the volume, the destination market or port and your required delivery window, and we will come back on availability and terms.
